New Delhi, June 13

The Allahabad High Court has refused to quash an FIR against Alt News co-founder Mohammed Zubair for his tweet accusing Hindu leaders Yati Narasinghanand Saraswati, Bajrang Muni and Anand Swaroop of hate mongering, saying it would be premature to do so as the investigation had not yet taken place.

“The evidence has to be gathered after a thorough investigation and placed before the court concerned on the basis of which alone the court concerned can come to a conclusion one way or the other on the allegations levelled by the petitioner,” a Bench led by Justice Ramesh Sinha said in its order on Friday.
