AIIMS sanitation in-charge dies of coronavirus

New Delhi, May 25

Senior sanitation supervisor at AIIMS Heera Lal succumbed to Covid-19 complications at the institute last night, putting the lens on the vulnerability of ward boys, cleaners and other staffers across top hospitals involved in Covid care.

Denying any lack of care, the AIIMS authorities said not only was Heera Lal attended to the moment he sought care, he was even among staffers to be administered prophylactic HCQ drug. — TNS
