Active Covid cases rise in India for second day in a row

New Delhi, July 22

A day after the WHO sounded an alarm over rapid resurgence of the Covid disease worldwide, India witnessed a rise in active cases for the second consecutive day. Daily new cases too rose beyond 40,000 for the second day in a row. The Health Ministry reported 41,383 new infections on Thursday and active cases registered an increase, reaching 4,09,394. The government has been warning states against lax easing of restrictions. — TNS
