Ludhiana, October 3

A few staffers of Hero DMC Heart Institute, who got infected with Covid-19, have defeated virus through medication and yoga.

Manish Prabhakar (42), who worked at Billing Department of Hero DMC Heart said despite taking all the precautions, he got infected. He said he had to face a tough time while being in home isolation.

In the beginning, he experienced severe body ache and had a very dry and aching cough, which would drain out his energy. He was advised by yoga consultant of DMCH Dr Sanjeev Singh Rawat to regularly perform prescribed ‘yoga pranayams’ to recover from breathing problem.

Within a few days of taking prescribed medication and doing yoga asanas daily, Manish felt relief.

The similar experience was shared by 30-year-old Sorabh, who works as a software engineer at Computer Cell. Sorabh said once Covid strikes, it causes a lot of physical and psychological setback to the infected person, but one needs to keep morale high.

Dr Rawat said doing yoga pranaymas daily has a great effect on recovery process, as it boosts up the immunity of the entire respiratory system and enhances well-being.
