Woman's body found in Sutlej

The body of a woman was found in the Sutlej near Ladhowal on Saturday. She was reportedly killed by slitting her throat.

The SHO, Ladhowal police station, Gurshinder Kaur, said the woman seems to be aged between 25 to 30 years. The police have also recovered a knife used to kill her.

The SHO added that the murder was found to be committed in the jurisdiction of the Phillaur police station, which comes under the Jalandhar rural police.

The SHO said now the matter has been handed over to the Phillaur police and further probe in the murder case would be conducted by them only.
