When fiction finds an echo in real life, it is a pleasant discovery, particularly for a writer as city-based author Mayank Jain discovered.

He was pleasantly surprised when he read in newspapers about a Ludhiana-based mother who appeared for matriculation and Class XII examinations along with her son, almost like the (male) protagonist of his fictional work ‘Back to School’.

Mayank’s passion for exploring the world of his fictional characters remained somewhat subdued till recently when he finally gathered time for himself and completed the novel, ‘Back to School’, earning the coveted right of being called a published author.

Mayank believes that his attention to detail and his rich style of writing creates imagery and visuals in the mind of the reader. Mayank enjoys travelling, and is a keen observer of life.
