Ludhiana, August 30

When fiction finds an echo in real life, it is a pleasant discovery, particularly for a writer as city-based author Mayank Jain discovered.

He was pleasantly surprised when he read in newspapers about a Ludhiana-based mother who appeared for matriculation and Class XII examinations along with her son, almost like the (male) protagonist of his fictional work ‘Back to School’.

An avid blogger, Mayank also pens poetry

Author Mayank Jain, who has been writing since his student days, says that creative writing for him is an expression of his innermost feelings. An avid blogger, he has been penning poetry and writing articles to express his thoughts and feelings.

Mayank, who has been writing since his student days, says that creative writing for him is an expression of his innermost feelings. An avid blogger, he has been penning poetry and writing articles to express his thoughts and feelings.

Mayank has been a marketing professional for 20 years. Having completed his MBA (financial administration) with a gold medal, his passion for writing goes back to his school years. Mayank actively contributed to the school magazine and scribbled the outpouring of his heart even on back pages of his notebooks, and in diaries.

Mayank’s professional life overshadowed his passion for writing for many years till in 2012 when he signed up on Twitter and quickly gravitated towards Blogger.Com. The character limit on social media platform is a put-off for someone who wants to delve into details. Mayank’s passion for exploring the world of his fictional characters remained somewhat subdued till recently when he finally gathered time for himself and completed the novel, ‘Back to School’, earning the coveted right of being called a published author.

Mayank believes that his attention to detail and his rich style of writing creates imagery and visuals in the mind of the reader. Mayank enjoys travelling, and is a keen observer of life. By his own admission, he holds a contrarian view of things and likes to debate on wide-ranging topics. This whets the interest of readers all the more!
