Ludhiana, June 30

The Valuers’ Association, Ludhiana, has submitted objections against alleged low collector rates of land in the district. The association has also written a complaint to CM Bhagwant Mann, Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema and Revenue Minister Bram Shanker Sharma in this regard.

The association members alleged that the collector rates of land in Ludhiana are very low. “Due to the low collector rates of land, the government is suffering financial losses. Moreover, there is no check on the usage of the black money in property business”, said Kapil Dev of the association.

“The biggest obstacle to the progress of the country and the state is black money as its consumption does not give the government a fair share of taxes. Black money is commonly being used in the real estate business in Punjab. We demand from the government to fix right collector rates of lands in Ludhiana,” the association members said.
