Two more investors arrive at hi-tech cycle valley in Ludhiana

Another industrial park being developed on 121 acres in Kadiana Khurd

Two more investors have arrived at the upcoming hi-tech cycle valley, which has emerged as the new investment hub in the industrial capital of the state, the government has confirmed.

While Linde India Limited, a leading supplier of gases and related products and services in India, was allotted a plot measuring 5.78 acres, PK Group, a leading manufacturer and supplier of quality gravity dies, bake-lite dies, glass mould, rubber moulds, jigs and fixtures, was provided a 2.2-acre land parcel.

With this, almost 186 acres of the total 233 acres land, earmarked for sale, has already been allotted while the process to allot the remaining just 47 acres was in progress, the officials have said.

While two plots measuring 15 acres each were up for sale in the cycle valley, another land parcel of 121 acres at neighbouring Kadiana Khurd was also being developed as an extension of the cycle valley.

The Punjab Small Industries and Export Corporation (PSIEC) Managing Director, Kumar Amit, told The Tribune on Monday that the internal development works have already been completed at the state-of-the-art industrial park that will provide plug and play infrastructure to mobility and advanced manufacturing industrial units, coming over 383 acres of land at a cost of Rs 500 crore.

“The development of basic infrastructure such as roads, streetlights, tube-wells, storm water, drainage, and water supply has been completed on May 31, whereas the facilities such as overhead water tank is currently in progress and would be accomplished by December 31,” Amit disclosed.

He added that the PSIEC has managed to avail financial assistance amounting to Rs 20 crore for internal development under Trade Infrastructure for Export Scheme (TIES).

The PSIEC Chief Technical Consultant, Joginder Singh Bhatia, said 30 acres of land has been allotted to PSPCL for setting up of 400-KVA power sub-station to provide uninterrupted power supply. “The work on it is at an advanced stage and is planned to be completed by October 31,” he said.

Bhatia said all the mandatory approvals/ clearances, including change in land use, approval of layout plan, non-encumbrance certificate, environmental clearance, water assurance, RERA registration, and amendment in environmental clearance have been obtained.

Upcoming industrial park

A total of 121.45 acres land has been procured at Kadiana Khurd abutting cycle valley for the setting up of an industrial park.

The CLU has been obtained, layout plan has been approved and of the total land area, chunk of 115 acres was currently in the process of being e-auctioned.
