Three-year-old raped by youth in Ludhiana

Ludhiana, October 27

A three-year-old girl child was raped by a 20-year-old youth at Chet Singh Nagar here yesterday.

The Police Division 6 after registering a case of sexual assault against the accused, Karan, a resident of the same locality, arrested him yesterday.

As per the victim’s mother, they were native of Bihar and for the past few months, they had been staying in a rented accommodation here. Yesterday, she and her husband had gone to work and their daughter and a six-year-old son were at home.

In the evening when the woman returned home, her daughter was not well and when she asked her son about the reason, he told her about the sexual assault.

“Yesterday, the accused came to our house and on the pretext of playing with my daughter, he took her to the bathroom, where he violated her. Afterwards, he fled the spot,” the complainant alleged. SHO Amandeep Brar said the preliminary medical report had also confirmed rape and the accused had also confessed to having committed the crime. — TNS
