Three snatchers arrested with stolen mobile phones in Ludhiana

Ludhiana, January 28

The Focal Point police today claimed to have nabbed three snatchers and recovered five stolen mobile phones from their possession.

The Focal Point SHO, Inspector Amandeep Singh Brar, said the suspects have been identified as Savinder Kumar Sunny of Bhagat Singh Colony Sherpur, Dalip Kumar Sonu of Sherpur and Piyush Bansal of GRD Colony near the Central Jail. The police recovered five stolen mobile phones, one motorcycle and a sharp weapon from them.

The SHO said on January 26, Santosh Kumar of Focal Point complained to the police that he, along with his friend, was cornered by three motorcycle-borne armed persons while they were on the way to a vegetable market. The bike-borne persons threatened the duo with a sharp weapon and snatched a mobile and a wallet from them.

The victims had noted down the number of the motorcycle. During a routine naka today, the same motorcycle was spotted and the three suspects were nabbed. They were on the way to commit another robbery. — TNS
