Staff meet Ludhiana MC chief over non-payment of salary

Ludhiana, June 17

Members of the Municipal Employees Sangarsh Committee on Friday submitted a memorandum to MC Commissioner Shena Aggarwal regarding the issue of delayed salaries. The employees of the Municipal Corporation have not yet received their salary for the month of May. Thus, many employees are facing financial problems.

Harpal Singh Nimana, general secretary of the committee, said Class III and IV employees are suffering due to delay in their salaries. “We requested the MC chief to order officials concerned to release the salaries of employees on priority as they face many financial problems these days. After releasing their salaries, the salaries of all other employees should also be released,” he said.
