Social activist held for making obscene comments

Ludhiana, January 28

The Ludhiana police yesterday arrested a social activist, Gurinder Singh Rangreta, for making obscene comments, using abusive language and posting objectionable posts on social media.

Complainant PP Sukhwinder Singh said he had shared a post on Facebook some time ago and Dr Rangreta made obscene remarks while commenting on his post. The Shimlapuri police registered a case against him. He was also produced in a court which sent him to two-day police custody.
