The authorities of government healthcare centres in the town and surrounding localities have been asked to shift asymptomatic corona positive patients to Level 1 Covid Care Centre at Kasturba Gandhi Hostel in Bhogiwal on the Ludhiana-Malerkotla road.

Instructions were given after a team of officials led by the Sangrur Deputy Commissioner (DC), Ramvir Singh, and the Mandi Ahmedgarh SDM, Vikramjit Singh Panthey, found preparedness satisfactory for accommodating asymptomatic corona patients at the Bhogiwal centre.

While interacting with officials of various departments and social activists after visiting the Bhogiwal Covid Care Centre the DC called upon leaders of the region to associate with the movement of the administration under Mission Fateh to spread awareness about causes and consequences of spread the coronavirus.

“Arrangements for accommodating corona patients from all localities of the district have been made. We seek cooperation of all sections of society in checking further spread of the virus due to the negligence or ignorance,” said the DC while stressing upon the need to following the Covid advisory in letter and spirit.

“People coming in contact with corona positive cases should not hesitate in getting tested for the virus,” the DC added.

“Those ignoring protocol on the subject should not forget that nothing is more precious than human lives,” the DC said.

“All arrangements for shifting patients to Bhogiwal centre are complete. Corona positive patients will be kept at this centre depending upon the level of medical care required,” said Panthey.

“Asymptomatic patients will be sent to Bhogiwal centre instead of Ghabdan Covid Care Centre,” said Pardeep Sood, pharmacy officer.
