Several held for gambling

Ludhiana: The Division 6 police have arrested several persons on the charge of gambling. The suspects have been identified as Tajinder Singh of CRP Colony, Malkit Singh of Manjit Nagar, Gurinderjit Singh of Dashmesh Nagar, Ramesh Kumar and Harbhajan Singh of LIG flats. The investigating officer, ASI Mahinderpal Singh, said acting on a tip-off, the police raided a place at Dashmesh Nagar where the suspects were caught gambling. A case under the Gambling Act has been registered against them. TNS

15-year-old girl goes missing

Ludhiana: A 15-year-old minor girl went missing under mysterious circumstances from Jawahar Nagar Camp. Suman told the police that on Saturday, her daughter went to market to buy some household things but didn't return home. She suspected that her daughter might have been kept under wrongful confinement by some persons. TNS
