Saffron party workers distribute sweets

At a separate function BJP workers distributed sweets while giving credit for the project to their leaders. They also honoured former Cabinet Minister Satpal Gosain on the occasion. Former councillor Inder Aggarwal thanked the Mayor for starting the project today. Aggarwal claimed that Gosain got Rs6 crore released in 2016 from the PIDB to the MC for the project during the tenure of the previous SAD-BJP government. The project was hanging fire for a long time, he added. Tenders for the project were floated twice in the past, he said. BJP leaders said present councillor from Ward No. 57 Manju Aggarwal was not invited during the inauguration of the project. It was against the spirit of democracy, they added.
