Ludhiana, February 15

In a crucial match in the ongoing Hero I-League, Punjab FC will take on Real Kashmir FC at Guru Nanak Stadium tomorrow.

After 12 matches, the premier soccer outfit of north India, Punjab FC is placed at the second spot with 17 points, whereas Real Kashmir FC has played nine matches and secured 11 points to occupy the fourth place at the points’ table.

In their previous matches, Punjab FC drew 1-1 against East Bengal, while Srinagar based Real Kashmir FC overpowered Gokulam Kerala FC 1-0. At the pre-match press conference on Saturday, coach Yan Law and player Imanuel of Punjab outfit were there, whereas David Roberton and Phurba Lachenppa represented the visitors.

Yan Law said though they had lost by a solitary goal against the table-toppers Mohun Bagan at their home ground, but did a commendable job to hold the powerhouse East Bengal to share the points.

“Boys are rearing up to decimate the opponents to score full three points and consolidate their position,” said Yan Law.

David Roberton said boys had played less number of matches than other teams, but accumulated 11 points to be at the 4th place. They are buoyed at the success in the last couple of matches and are confident of causing an upset against the home side, he said.

The match will kick off at 2 pm on Sunday.
