PSEB Class XII RESULT: Ludhiana students come out with flying colours

Ludhiana, June 28

Class XII students of the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) heaved a sigh of relief after the board declared the results today. The declaration of the results was earlier postponed twice.

Overall first

This year, no separate stream-wise positions were announced. The board announced overall positions for Class XII exams. A total of 302 students from the state managed to make it to the merit list. Of this, 70 students are from Ludhiana.

Ludhiana’s Arshdeep Kaur, a Humanities student from Teja Singh Sutantar Memorial Senior Secondary School, here, managed to secure overall first position in the state in the Class XII exams, the results of which were declared today. “I am happy and attribute my success to God, my parents and my teachers,” she said.

Arshdeep who is at her relative’s place in Batala, said she couldn’t wait to be back in Ludhiana and celebrate the success with her family members, teachers and friends. Arshdeep’s father is a mechanic and her mother is a homemaker. She aspires to be an IAS officer.

From Ludhiana, Teesha Mehta (Humanities) and Muskan (Commerce) from RS Model Senior Secondary School secured 99.20 per cent each and stood joint second in the merit list.

Muskan, who aims to become a chartered accountant, said she studied every subject thoroughly before the exam. “Revising chapters as being done in the class and thoroughly studying before the exams was my mantra for success,” she said.

Teesha wants to join judicial services and become a judge. “I studied up to 18 hours a day as I know there will be a tough competition ahead,” she said.

Baishali (Humanities) from Teja Singh Sutantar Memorial Senior Secondary School secured 99 per cent and got third rank in the merit list. Aspiring to become as IAS officer, Baishali owes her success to her teachers and family.

“I use to study for 5-6 hours daily and revising everything done in the school was my mantra for success,” she said.

Fourth rank in the merit list here was shared by Priya (Commerce) from Sanmati Vimal Jain Senior Secondary Public School, Jagraon, Harshu Sharma (Humanities) from Shaheed-e-Azam Sukhdev Thapar Government Girls Senior Secondary School and Komalpreet Kaur (Humanities) and Rohit Kumar (Science), both from Teja Singh Sutantar Memorial Senior Secondary School. All these students secured 98.80 per cent marks.

Rohit Kumar is topper in the science stream from Ludhiana district. Rohit, a non-medical student wants to become a computer engineer. “Future lies in technology and I am intrigued by the fact how a machine is capable of learning and imitating human actions. Hence, I want to adopt computer technology for my future,” he said.
