PSEB Class XII: Ludhiana district schools perform well

Ludhiana, July 22

Various schools in the district performed well in the recently declared Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) Class XII results. The PSEB declared a pass percentage of 90.98, an improvement of more than 4.5 percentage than previous year.

SDP School, Hazuri Road

Students of SDP Senior Secondary School, Hazuri Road, and its branch at Basti Jodhewal excelled in the results. A total of 90 per cent students secured the first division. In the arts stream, Pooja secured 96.2% marks. In the science stream Om Kaushal secured 94 per cent marks. Balraj Kumar Bhasin, president, SDP Sabha and Institution, congratulated the students, parents and teachers for the results.

Government Sr Secondary Smart School, PAU

A total of 83 students of the school scored above 90 per cent marks while 330 secured first division. Shiva secured first position in the arts stream with 98.8 per cent marks while Nikhil and Lakshay from the non-medical stream got 97.8 and 97.5 per cent marks, respectively.

SD Girls Senior Secondary School, Purana Bazar

Students excelled in the Class XII results. In the humanities stream, Neha stood first in the school by scoring 91 per cent marks, while Baby and Simran scored second and third position in the school, respectively 89 per cent and 88 per cent marks, respectively. In the stream of commerce, Kamini stood first in the school by securing 94.22% marks, while Anshu and Pratibha secured second and third position with 92.44 and 84.44 per cent marks, respectively.

Sahnewal schools shine

Sahnewal: Government as well as private schools of Sahnewal village scored well in the results.

Manwinder Singh, Principal, Shakti Public School, said students have performed well in the exam. Gursimran, Mankaranpreet Singh and Avdesh Kumar secured first, second and third positions, respectively with 432, 398 and 397 marks out of 450 in the science stream.

Government Girls Senior Secondary School secured 100 per cent result. In the arts stream, Prabhdeep Kaur, stood first, Ramandeep Kaur came second and Manisha stood third. Students of Government Senior Secondary School for (Boys) also got 100 per cent results in both arts and vocational streams. — TNS/OC
