PPT presentation competition

Ludhiana: Arya College Girls Section conducted a PowerPoint presentation competition on Raag and Taal in music under the banner of the IQAC with the help of music department in which 23 students participated. In their presentation they introduced various raags. They introduced teen taal, chaar taal, jhoomara taal etc. Dr Savita Uppal, Principal, Arya College, blessed students and praised their music skills.

Session on emerging job avenues

A webinar on the theme ‘Navigating Opportunities – Existing and Emerging’ was organised by Kamla Lohtia SD College, Ludhiana, by the PG Dept of Commerce and Management. The resource person for the occasion was Vandana Maini, Professor, Department of Evening Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh. The webinar focussed around familiarising students with the upcoming career avenues and professional opportunities in the present age of liberalisation and globalisation.

Book released

Shree Atam Vallabh Jain College, Ludhiana, released its second book titled ‘Recent developments in social science and business management.’ The book was released by the Coordinator Prof HR Saini and Principal Rishi Kesh. The book is a compilation of various papers presented on the seminar by eminent teachers of the esteemed institutions. The editors of the book are Dr Charanjit Kaur, Dr Seema Kapoor, Dr Kiranpreet Kaur and Dr Chetna Vashishty.

Webinar on periodic table

Khalsa College for Women, Sidhwan Khurd, organised a webinar on the topic "Periodic Table: Revisited". The resource person was Dr Neetu Goel, Associate Professor in Physical Chemistry, Panjab University, Chandigarh. The resource person via PowerPoint Presentation highlighted the importance of modern periodic table, its history, classification, properties of elements in it. TNS
