Ludhiana: Police DAV Public School, Police Lines, Civil Lines, virtually celebrated World Science Day, which was planned on the concept of experiential learning on Tuesday for Classes III to X, highlighting the 2020 theme for the day ‘Science for and with society.’ Students of Classes VIII to X exhibited their knowledge by participating in a science quiz’ organised by science faculty of the school. Students of Classes III to VII tried their hands on various activities related to syllabus of their classes. The aim of celebrating the day was to make students aware of uses of science for the benefit of society. Dr Anu Verma, principal of the school, while interacting virtually with the students said the celebration of ‘World Science Day’ highlights the critical role of science in addressing global challenges.

Green Land Sr Sec Public School

Students of Classes IX to XII of Green Land Senior Secondary Public School prepared posters remembering the contribution of great personalities of the world such as Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, APJ Abdul Kalam, Kalpana Chawla, Sant Kabir, Guru Ravidas, Chanakya, Swami Vivekananda, Mother Teresa, Lala Lajpat Rai and Bhagat Singh in which they highlighted their contribution, works, inventions, discoveries and thoughts. They prepared beautiful and attractive posters with enthusiasm while paying tributes to the renowned personalities. Principal Baldeep Pandher applauded the efforts of the students and said the aim behind organising such activities was to divert their minds towards creativity and innovation and also to seek inspiration from lives of great personalities.
