Activists of Bhartiya Kisan Union (Rajewal) from Barmi and Boparai Kalan villages have started langar of pizzas for protestes and enthusiasts at Singhu border to boost the morale of struggling farmers.

The langar that was started during Bharat bandh on Tuesday would continue till the laws are repealed, claimed the organisers.

Tirlochan Singh, one of the organisers, said enthusiasts had decided to do something different to extend support to the protesters. Pizza stalls were set up at Singhu Border as a large number of activists of various unions from the region visit the venue. “Though we have been providing raw material and ration for traditional langar already running at various places, we decided to organize pizza langar in addition to community kittens,” said Tirlochan Singh maintaining that people of all ages appreciated the dish.

Prabhdeep Singh Narangwal, a zila parishad member, appreciated the initiative.
