Ludhiana, December 16

The strike by Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) and Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) has put the future of the students at stake.

Examinations, which were scheduled in the first week of this month for various classes, have been postponed and no dates have been announced as the teachers are still on strike. Neither practical nor theory exams have been conducted so far.

With daily paid labourers also on strike, the experimental work of the postgraduate students has also come to halt.

A MSc (agriculture) final-year student said since it is their final year they wanted all their exams to be conducted on time, but strike by teachers have postponed their exams and the university has yet not taken any decision in this regard as the staff has yet not called off their strike.
