PAU inks pact with Nutranta Seeds Private Limited, Sunam, for maize hybrid PMH 13

Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) has inked pact with Nutranta Seeds Private Limited, Sunam, for licensing of maize hybrid PMH 13. Dr NS Bains, director research and Telha Jameel signed the memorandum of agreement on behalf of their respective organisations. Dr Surinder Sandhu, incharge, maize section, said, “The PMH 13 is a high yielding hybrid with an average yield of 24 (q/acre) and it matures in 97 days. It is moderately resistant to maydis leaf blight, charcoal rot and maize stem borer.” Dr GS Mangat, Additional Director of Research, said that this public-private partnership would certainly facilitate to disseminate PAU developed technology to farmers.
