Opportunity to come close to spirituality

Karamjit Singh Narangwal, Chairman of Ludhiana Architects Association, feels he has come very close to nature during the lockdown period. Besides, he now has all the time to spend with his family which was not possible earlier due to his tight work schedule.

Narangwal, who lives at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, said: “During this lockdown period, I got a chance to spend time on spirituality. I enjoyed the time spent with my family and we together watched some programmes on television.”

“I could find ample time to complete a major work at my home, setting up a terrace garden. I have grown many new plants in the garden and installed a statue of Buddha which I had purchased earlier. I spend some quite time in the terrace garden every morning,” he said.

He stays connected with clients and firms online. “During a nationwide programme, I communicated with my clients through online platforms. I also attended webinars on subject of architecture. It was a good experience working from home. I have remained positive during this lockdown period,” said Narangwal.

“I was pained to see poor people facing various problems during the lockdown. I want to request the government to take steps for the welfare of people from poor sections of society. The government should release a relief package for these people. I also helped some needy families at my village,” he said.

“Many relaxations have been given by the government in the Phase IV of the lockdown. I work from my office now while following precautions. I want to make an appeal to people to maintain social distancing. Everyone must wear a mask before going out. The guidelines issued by the government should be strictly followed to prevent the spread of Covid-19,” he said.
