Ludhiana, July 10

There would be no night curfew or weekend curfew from Monday (July 12) onwards and no time restriction for shops, offices etc. District Magistrate Varinder Kumar Sharma issued an order in this regard on Saturday.

From July 12 to 20, the cap at gathering would be 100 persons indoors and 200 outdoors. All schools in the district would remain closed for the students.

Meanwhile, the DM has allowed reopening of colleges, coaching centres and higher education institutes, with a condition that the authorities concerned submit a certificate that all teachers, non-teaching staff and students have got at least one Covid-19 vaccination shot two weeks ago.

All bars, restaurants, spas, sports complexes, malls, museums, and others can be granted permission to open, on the condition that the staff and visitors must be above 18 years of age and they must have got at least one dose of vaccine. The vaccine condition is also a must for visitors at gyms, swimming pools and other sports facilities. — TNS
