Neighbour booked for raping married woman

Ludhiana: The Tibba police booked a man on the charges of raping a married woman and making an objectionable video of her. The accused has been identified as Dhiraj, resident of New Puneet Nagar. The complainant woman told the police that Dhiraj resides in her neighbourhood and is friend of her brother-in-law. He had visited her house several times. Dhiraj had been proposing her for friendship and for physical relationship but she had been denying his proposal. On October 2, when she was alone at home, when Dhiraj again came to her house and brought a bottle of cold drink, alleged the complainant. “Dhiraj asked me to drink the cold drink and despite my refusal, he forcibly poured the cold drink in my mouth. A few minutes later, I fell unconscious. When I regained consciousness, I found myself naked on the bed,” the woman alleged. The woman said later Dhiraj also showed her the objectionable video he made and warned that if she reveals about rape to anyone he will make these video viral on the social media. Then again on October 20, when she was going to market, Dhiraj stopped her on the way and forcibly took her to some isolated place where he raped her and again made her objectionable video. The woman alleged that Dhiraj had also threatened to kill her husband if she dared to inform the police. Investigation officer Sub-Inspector Rachpal Kaur said a case of rape and criminal intimidation was registered against Dhiraj and raids are being conducted to nab him. TNS
