National Science Day observed

The Indian Society of Remote Sensing Ludhiana Chapter (ISRS-LC) in collaboration with Punjab Remote Sensing Centre (PRSC) celebrated the National Science Day at the PRSC, PAU Campus, Ludhiana. Dr Brijendra Pateriya, Director, PRSC and Chairman, ISRS-LC, said science should be utilised for the benefit of mankind and society and not for destructive purposes.

On this occasion, Dr VK Verma, Head, NRE Division, welcomed the students from various universities and highlighted the importance of science and how we can incorporate geoinformation technology with science for better management of environment. Prof Reet Kumar Tiwari, Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar, delivered a Guest Lecture on “Geomatic Engineering and UAV Application”.
