Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu reviews development projects in Ludhiana

To review the progress of various developmental projects under the Smart City Mission, National Clean Air Programme and Ludhiana Improvement Trust (LIT), Cabinet Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu conducted a meeting with officials at the MC’s Zone D office. Ashu directed the officials to ensure timely completion of all ongoing projects and reiterated that there should be no compromise when it comes to quality standards.

He said to increase the green cover and contribute towards saving the environment, several new green belts and leisure valleys had already been developed in over 50 acres across the city while many more were either under construction or in the pipeline.

Mayor Balkar Singh Sandhu, MC Commissioner Pardeep Kumar Sabharwal, LIT Chairman Raman Balasubramaniam and other officials were present during the meeting. The minister directed MC officials to undertake a massive plantation drive on vacant land in the city.
