Ludhiana: The school celebrated Hindi Diwas with a myriad of activities. The day started with a special virtual assembly to celebrate and enlighten students about the significance of the day. The highlights of the assembly was role play on the life and achievements of Munshi Prem Chand. A compilation of idioms in the form of a story, famous dohe by Sant Kabir and a motivational poem with the central idea that life is full of challenges were presented. Principal Anju Dhawan said students should respect the official language.
Green Land Convent School
Students and teachers organised an online doha recitation, Hindi slogan writing and declamation contest on the occasion of “Hindi Diwas”. The day started by seeking the blessings of the Almighty through video conferencing where teachers and students recited song. The school organised a plethora of activities for different age groups followed by “doha gayan” activity for students of classes IV and V in which kids presented dohas of Kabirdas, Rahim and Tulsidas. Students of classes VI to VIII participated in slogan writing activity in which they inspired to stay safe from Covid-19, Importance of Education, Importance of Hindi etc
BCM School, Basant City
The school organised a ‘Virtual Celebration of Reading Week’ as announced by the CBSE. Students read a book and then discussed the synopsis and message conveyed by the book. Students enthusiastically participated in the activity and also encouraged their peers to read the book through their book reviews. Teachers played the role of facilitator in this activity. The style, ease of language and attitude of writers were also discussed. Principal JP Singh said, “Individualised reading has been termed as a must among school students to inculcate the habit of reading among all age groups.”
Ryan International School, Dugri
Students and staff of the school celebrated Hindi Diwas online to mark the importance of the country’s most widely spoken language. Pupils participated in different offline activities such as Hindi poem recitation and poster making. Poem were recited on topics such as ‘meri behan’, ‘mera desh’, Hindi Diwas and many more.
