Man suffers bullet injury in Ludhiana, case registered

A man, Mohammad Irfan, suffered minor bullet injury on his arm last night. He was sleeping on the fourth floor of the house at Kuldeep Nagar when a bullet hit his arm.

The incident occured at around 11.30 pm last night when he was sleeping on the terrace.

“I felt something sharp hit my arm and when I checked, blood started oozing out of the arm. I also heard the sound of firing near my house but I could not identify the person as it was dark,” the victim alleged.

ADCP (Crime) Rupinder Kaur Bhatti reached the spot to conduct an investigation.

The police are checking the footage of CCTV cameras to identify the person who fired shots in the air. Residents of the area are also being questioned by the police.

A case has been registered in the matter. — TNS
