Man nabbed with illicit liquor in Ludhiana

Ludhiana: The police arrested Parveen Kumar, a resident of Captain Colony, and have seized 47 bottles of 111 Whisky from his possession in a raid conducted at the residence of the suspect on Sunday. The police said he was found waiting for customers with liquor bottles packed in a plastic bag on a vacant plot near his house. A case under Sections 61, 1 and 14 of the Excise Act has been registered against him. OC

Ludhiana: The police have arrested a person, Hardeep Singh, a resident of Sua Road, Gobindgarh village, a caretaker of a vehra in Dhandari Kalan while leasee of the vehra Karam Singh, a resident of village Kudd, have been booked under Sections 188 and 34 of the IPC.
