Man dies, 39 more contract coronavirus in Ludhiana district

Ludhiana, June 29

A 46-year-old man from Moti Nagar here died of Covid-19. The Ludhiana Health Department confirmed his death on Wednesday. He was undergoing treatment at a hospital for the past few days.

Meanwhile, 39 fresh Covid cases were reported from the district today, taking the tally to 1,10,396. The number of active cases rose to 207. As many as 201 patients are in home isolation, while six are admitted to hospitals.

A total of 2,292 persons have lost their life to the deadly virus since March 30, 2020, when first fatality was reported from the district.
