Make most of pilgrimage scheme, says Raikot MLA

Raikot MLA Hakam Singh Thekedar urged people belonging to all faiths to make the maximum use of the CM’s pilgrimage scheme.

Talking to The Tribune after flagging off a jatha of Sikh pilgrims that left for the Golden Temple and Anandpur Sahib on Thursday, he said, “Those wishing to visit places of worship may download the requisite forms from the official website of the Department of Transport and submit them at either my office or at the office of Raikot SDM.” Prior registration was compulsory for every pilgrim he added.

One bus carrying Sikh pilgrims left Rattowal village today. MLA Thekedar said the free facility was available for all residents irrespective of their political allegiance. He also said apart from food, accommodation, pilgrim kits and tourist guide facilities are also being provided gratis to the pilgrims.
