Ludhiana: Work orders of development projects get approval

Ahead of the Assembly elections, likely to be held in early 2022, the MC’s Finance and Contract Committee (F&CC) on Monday gave its nod to issue all work orders regarding various development projects. The meeting was headed by Mayor Balkar Singh Sandhu.

Senior Deputy Mayor Sham Sundar Malhotra said around 450 resolutions were part of today’s agenda. He said: “All resolutions related to work orders for development projects regarding roads, sewerage system and water tube well have been approved. There were around 100-150 work orders that have been given nod today.”

Malhotra said the estimates and other resolutions had been kept pending during the meeting.

Commissioner Pardeep Kumar Sabharwal and other officials were among those others present.
