Ludhiana: STEMI project saves 50 lives

The ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) project was launched last year at Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) to save lives from heart attack by starting treatment within golden period. During an year, the project has helped in saving 50 lives with timely intervention for heart attack.

“We have saved lives of over 50 people after its inception in July 2021 last year. This project was launched to enable optimal heart care and save lives,” said Dr Bishav Mohan, Deparment of Cardiology and Medical Superintendent, Hero DMC Heart Institute.

To mark the celebration of saving 50 lives under the ICMR STEMI project a meeting was held at the DMCH. Dr Hatinder Kaur, Civil Surgeon, Ludhiana, was the chief guest at the meeting.
