Ludhiana Mayor appeals to residents to pay their dues

Mayor Balkar Singh Sandhu has appealed to the residents, who have not paid their dues of property/house tax and water supply & sewerage charges, to deposit the same without penalty and interest by July 31. Earlier, the state government had extended the date for one-time settlement policy regarding house tax and property tax till July 31. Residents, who have failed to deposit the house tax or property tax, may deposit the principal amount in a lump sum with a rebate at the rate of 10 per cent of the amount by July 31.

Superintendent Vivek Verma said the government had also extended the time limit for one-time settlement policy for recovery of water and sewerage charges in the urban local bodies up to July 31, 2020. Sandhu said the residents could deposit their arrears of property tax, water supply and sewerage charges at Suvidha Centres. The residents have been appealed to follow the guidelines for prevention of Covid-19.
