Ludhiana: Khalsa college for women

Ludhiana: The students of Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, excelled in BCA fifth semester examinations, the results of which were declared by Panjab University. Harmanpreet Kaur Saini bagged the second position in the university and stood first in the college by scoring 375/400 marks (93.75 per cent). Harshpreet Kaur stood second in the college by scoring 363/400 (90.75 per cent). Anshita Arora and Grace jointly stood third in the college by scoring 351/400 (87.75 per cent).

DD Jain college

An extension lecture on career counselling and a workshop on interviews was organised at DD Jain College of Education on Wednesday. The second and fourth semester BEd students participated in the session. Dev Kaushik was the resource person. The seminar and workshop came to halt with a vote of thanks by Dr Vijay Laxmi, principal.

Govt college for girls

The Department of Performing Arts of Government College for Girls organised an open-air Basant Festival to mark Basant Panchmi. The chief guest on the occasion was Dr Sharanjit Parmar, principal, Government College, Raikot. GCG Principal Suman Lata along with the chief guest and members of senior staff council lit a diya to pay homage to Goddess Saraswati.

Shree Atam Vallabh Jain college

The festive spirit of Basant Panchami was embraced at Shree Atam Vallabh Jain College. Principal Dr Sandeep Kumar, teaching and non-teaching staff, and the students gathered to pay homage to the Goddess Saraswati, seeking her blessings for knowledge and wisdom to be bestowed upon them and the entire institution community.

Kamla Lohtia SD college

Kamla Lohtia SD College celebrated the vibrant festival of Basant Panchami with enthusiasm. The celebrations commenced with Saraswati Puja. To add colour to the occasion, a kite-flying competition was organised in which students participated enthusiastically. Principal Dr Mohd Saleem expressed that Basant Panchami is a day to pay obeisance to the Goddess Saraswati.

GHG Institute of Law

GHG Institute of Law, Sidhwan Khurd, organised a seminar on the topic ‘Moral education among students: Need of the hour’. This seminar was organised by the institute in collaboration with Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle, Ludhiana. The students who participated in the national moral education examination, organised by the study circle, were rewarded.
