Ludhiana Deputy Commissioner hands over Rs 1-crore cheque to Vishwakarma temple committee

Ludhiana Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma today handed over a cheque for Rs 1 crore to the committee of Baba Vishwakarma Mandir, which would be used for renovation purposes.

MLA Surinder Dawar and Amarjit Singh Tikka, Chairman, Punjab Medium Industrial Development Board (PMIDB), were among those present.

The MLA said Punjab Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal had announced an amount of Rs 1 crore for the renovation and beautification of Baba Vishwakarma Mandir in Miller Ganj, here.

He thanked Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, the Finance Minister and the state government for fulfilling their promise.

The PMIDB Chairman said the Ramgarhia community was indebted to the Chief Minister and the state government for the noble cause.

Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma said the amount of Rs 1 crore, announced by Manpreet Badal, has been released out of the discretionary quota of the Finance Minister Punjab Small Savings Award Money for 2021-22.
