Lok Adalat to be held tomorrow in Ludhiana

Ludhiana, September 9

A national Lok Adalat would be held in Ludhiana on September 11, in which cases including civil, compoundable criminal cases, revenue cases, traffic challans, claim cases and Motor Vehicle Act cases would be taken up for amicable settlement.

District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) chairman-cum-Sessions Judge Munish Singal said around 40 Lok Adalat benches would be set up in the local courts as well as at sub-division levels, including Jagraon, Khanna, Samrala and Payal. He appealed to the masses to participate actively and get their disputes resolved.

Singal said Lok Adalats saved time and money of the people and helped in bringing harmony and maintaining peace in the society. The decision taken in the national Lok Adalats is final, which cannot be challenged in any other courts, he added. — OC
