Ludhiana: An international conference on legal and economic synergy for an equitable society was organised by the University Institute of Laws at Panjab University Regional Centre, Ludhiana. Seven guests of honour— Volker Römermann from Germany, Kiymet Tunca Caliyurt from the UK, Dr Manoj Kumar from the US, Dr Godswill Agbaitoro from the UK, Rebecca Parry from the UK, Apoorva Singh from Canada and Dr Raghu Bir Bista from Nepal provided deep insights and perspectives on pivotal themes. The conference was held under the guidance of Aman Amrit Cheema, director of the institute. The presentations by 52 scholars unveiled ground-breaking research findings, spanning across a diverse landscape of themes including competition law, gender equality and environmental sustainability. The conference was successfully organised with the efforts of Ashish Virk, Dr Pooja Sikka and the team of students led by Ankur Taya.

World Wetlands Day

The Department of Public Administration and Eco Club of Guru Nanak Khalsa College for Women, Ludhiana, celebrated World Wetlands Day. An interactive session was organised by Dr Parveen Arora in which students were invited to express their opinions on what they want to change in their lives to save the environment from climate change. Principal Dr Maneeta Kahlon motivated the students to preserve the environment for the coming generations.

CPU scheduling at GGNIMT

The Department of Computer Applications of GGN Institute of Management and Technology (GGNIMT) organised an extension lecture on the topic of CPU scheduling. Dr Pankaj Bhambri, assistant professor in the Department of Information Technology, Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana, was the resource person. He shared valuable insights into CPU scheduling, shedding light on its significance in the realm of information technology.
