Khanna police book 3 from Ropar in dowry case

The Khanna police have booked a man and his parents on charges of dowry harassment. He had also forced his wife to undergo abortion. However, he failed in his attempt.

The accused are identified as Pargat Singh, his father Ranjit Singh and mother Charanjit Kaur of Ropar.

Complainant Rajbir Kaur told the police that she got married to the accused in 2019.

“Despite giving dowry, my husband and in-laws continued to harass me for dowry. When I became pregnant, the accused started forcing me to abort the child. I didn’t bow down under pressure and finally gave birth to a daughter, “Rajbir Kaur alleged.
