Investiture held at Shamrock

Ludhiana: Shamrock Christian Senior Secondary School conducted an investiture to sworn in the new student council. About 40 students from primary section were inducted into the council and given badges by the principal. Taking an oath of duty and sincerity, students pledged to uphold their work with dignity and tradition of the school. Abhinav Prashar and Ishweta Batra were elected the head boy and head girl, respectively, and presented the acceptance speech on behalf of the selected prefects.

Kids display finesse in origami

Green Land Convent School, New Subhash Nagar, organised an origami activity for the students of kindergarten to trigger their imagination and enhance creative skills. The tiny tots created unique and exclusive shapes and structures to showcase their finesse in paper craft. The activity provided students with ‘schematic learning through repeatable actions’. As teachers demonstrated, children watched closely and listened carefully to the specific instructions and carried them with originality, neatness and accuracy.

BCM student wins Rs10K cash prize

Namandeep, a student of BCM School, Chandigarh Road, made the school proud by securing third position at a national-level Hindi essay-writing competition organised by the Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA). He was awarded a tablet and cash prize of Rs 10,000. He credited his success to the school for always keeping him sensitised to the need of promoting sustainable development and conservation of petroleum through various awareness activities. Principal DP Guleria lauded Naman for his achievement.

DCM student shines in NTSE

Yashik Bansal, student of Class X at DCM Presidency, brought laurels to school by cracking the NTSE Stage-I. He secured 92nd rank in the state. Principal Rajni Kalra congratulated him, his parents and mentors for this accomplishment and wished him success in his future endeavours.

Graduation party organised

Tiny tots of Ryan International School, Dugri, graduated to the primary section. The ceremony was organised on the theme ‘Together we can’ at Guru Nanak Dev Bhawan and was attended by parents as well. The function commenced with the reading of the Bible, followed by special prayer. The students were awarded degrees by the principal. TNS
