Hospital begins online physiotherapy services

Every year September 8 is observed as ‘World Physiotherapy Day’. To mark the day, the department of physiotherapy and occupational therapy, DMCH, has started its online services for the convenience of people.

This year’s theme of the day focused on recovery and Covid-19 and creating awareness among the public.

Principal Sandeep Puri and medical superintendent and in-charge of the department of physiotherapy Avkash Teotia were among those present.

Secretary Prem Kumar Gupta said the department of physiotherapy, DMCH, had state-of-the-art facilities to provide services to patients.

“We have started online services for the convenience of the public so that they could get the facility at home during this pandemic,” he said.

These services include remedies for joint pain, joint stiffness and limb weakness and specialised protocol of breathing exercises. To avail the same, people can call 98759-32684 between 9 am and 4 pm. — TNS
