Health Dept yet to receive report of 9 suspected patients

The report of nine samples taken by the Health Department for Covid-19 suspects is pending. Earlier, the department had collected 67 samples out of which 65 were found negative while two tested positive. One Covid-19 positive patient belongs to Ludhiana while another woman, who tested positive for the disease, is from Jalandhar. Both were admitted to a hospital in the city.

According to information among other samples, one is of a person from Shakti Nagar, who came into contact with Covid-19 positive patient from Hoshiarpur. The police have sealed the area around Shakti Nagar.

“The sample of the person, who came into contact with Covid positive patient, who died, is still pending. The report is likely to come in the late evening today,” said Dr Rajesh Bagga, Civil Surgeon.
