The administration claimed to have roped in office-bearers and activists of various organisations in implementing the ‘Har Ghar Dastak’ campaign to achieve the target of vaccination of all eligible residents of the region.

Responding to a call made by Deputy Commissioner Madhvi Kataria, office-bearers and activists of various organisations, led by Municipal Council president Vikas Tandon, vowed to associate with the movement and facilitate vaccination of eligible residents of their localities.

Earlier addressing a series of meetings, the DC claimed that the campaign would be continued to achieve a target of hundred per cent vaccination at 192 localities of the district before November 30.

Stressing the need for vaccination for all, Kataria said the campaign had been launched to combat the probable third wave of Covid-19 and all eligible individuals should get vaccinated without hesitation.

“We have made enough arrangements to ensure that special teams of healthcare workers reach residences or workplaces of individuals who have not been vaccinated so far. It is high time when we should avail the facility to protect our bodies by getting vaccinated, instead of believing superstitions,” she said.

The DC said 2,57,473 doses had been given to residents in the district and 64,139 individuals had been fully vaccinated. As many as 1,93,334 persons had been administered only the first dose of vaccination, claimed the DC, adding four nodal officers had been deployed to ensure hundred per cent vaccination in their respective areas.
