Govt announces Rs75K subsidy on purchase of cars, autos

The district sdministration has sought applications from the youths under the “Apni Gaddi, Apna Rozgar” Scheme, in which subsidy would be provided to the youngsters from the below poverty line (BPL) to purchase cars and auto-rickshaws so that they become self-dependent. The last date for applying has been extended to March 4.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Jagraon)-cum- District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises CEO Neeru Katyal Gupta said to purchase a car, the youth will be provided a subsidy of Rs 75,000 or 15 per cent (which ever is less) of the total cost and Rs 50,000 or 15 per cent (which ever is less) of the total cost will be provided to purchase an auto-rickshaw.

She said the applicant should be a resident of the Ludhiana district, should be between 21 years and 45 years (as on November 1, 2019), should be Class VIII pass and should have a blue card/smart card along with a valid driving licence.

Gupta said for availing the benefits of this scheme, the youths should download the performa from www.pbemployment.gov.in and should submit it at District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises (DBEE), near Partap Chowk and Sangeet Cinema, Ludhiana, before 5 pm on March 4.
