Gitansh to lead Ludhiana in inter-district cricket tourney

Ludhiana, September 14

Wicketkeeper-batsman Gitansh Khera, a Ranji player, has been selected to lead the Ludhiana district senior team in the Punjab State Inter-District One Day Limited Overs Cricket Tournament. Former India U-19 player Nehal Wadhera has been appointed his deputy.

The tournament is slated to be held from September 16 to October 7. Ludhiana plays its first match on September 16 against Fatehgarh Sahib.

Anupam Kumaria, honorary general secretary, Ludhiana District Cricket Association said the selection panel, comprising Inderjeet Singh Malhi, Ashish Sehgal and SD Singh, finalised the following team: Gitansh Khera, Nehal Wadhera, Deepin Chitkara, Tikshan Tangri, Vaibhav Kalra, Deepinder Sidhu, Kabeer Grewal, Sanyam Gill, Sunny Pandey, Tanroop Saini, Bharat Madhok, Tanishk Singh, Hartejasvi Kapoor, Harshit Takkar, Randeep Gill, Mohit, Siddant Om Tiwari, Gurmehar Singh, Rajat Patel and Abhimanyu. — OC
