Four test positive in Ludhiana district

Ludhiana, September 20

Four persons tested positive for Covid, while no death due to the disease was reported today. There are 31 active patients in the district at present. Today 25 persons were sent for home isolation and two patients were admitted to hospital for Covid treatment.

Till date, a total of 24,41,036 samples have been taken, of which 23,41,835 samples were found negative. Now, the total number of patients belonging to Ludhiana is 87,526, while 11,675 patients belong to other districts/states.

The total number of persons who lost their lives to the disease is 2,100 from Ludhiana and 1,049 from other districts.

Samples of 6,278 suspected patients were sent for testing today and their results are expected shortly.

Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma appealed to residents to adhere to all safety protocols like wearing masks, maintaining social distance and washing hands frequently.
