Four test positive for Covid in Ludhiana district

Ludhiana, October 21

Four persons tested positive for Covid and no death due to the disease was reported in the district today. The recovery rate of Covid-19 patients has reached 97.56 per cent and there are 30 active patients in the district at present. Ten patients — four from Ludhiana and six from other districts — are undergoing treatment for Covid at various city hospitals.

Total six patients — four from Ludhiana and two from other states/districts — tested positive in the last 24 hours.

Till date, total of 26,47,673 samples for Covid test have been taken, of which 25,48,385 were found negative. Now, the total number of patients belonging to Ludhiana is 87,590, while 11,698 patients belong to other districts/states.

The total number of patients who lost their lives to Covid is 2,105 from Ludhiana and 1,053 from other districts.

Samples of 6,683 suspected patients were sent for testing today and their results are expected shortly.
