“Four more private hospitals have started Covid-care centres on their premises in the last three days time,” the district administration stated. Today, the management of Shri Raghunath Hospital in the Aggar Nagar area started a 10-bed Covid-care centre on its premises.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Varinder Kumar Sharma and Commissioner of Police (CP) Rakesh Kumar Agrawal visited Shri Raghunath Hospital and thanked the management for starting the Covid-care centre today.
“The other three private hospitals that have started Covid-care centres, include 25-bed centre at Verma Super Specialty Hospital, near the DMCH, 10-bed centre at Arora Neuro Centre on Mall Road, and a 25-bed IMA Ludhiana Covid-care centre at Lord Mahavira Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Hambran Road,” the DC said.
The DC assured residents that there was no shortage of beds for Covid treatment. “People should not panic and check the status of vacant beds through mobile app ‘HBMS Punjab’ or on official web links ‘https://ludhiana.nic.in/notice/covid-19-bed-status-in-ludhiana-district/’ or ‘www.hbmspunjab.in’,” the DC added. “Data of all private hospitals providing Covid treatment has been added to the mobile app as well as web links,” the DC said.
The Commissioner of Police also urged managements of other private hospitals to set up Covid-care centres so that they could provide service to society during the testing times. ADC (Development)-cum-Nodal Officer Covid Sandeep Kumar was also present on the occasion. — TNS
